Valentine’s Day Dates

Happy Valentine’s Day, GrowingGreaters! Are you looking for a late minute date idea? Here’s a quick, chocolate recipe to make today–for yourself or your sweetheart!

Heart-Healthy Date Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1-1 ½ cup hemp milk (or your milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop of vanilla rice protein powder
  • 3-4 pitted dates
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 heaping scoop of TerrAmazon cacao powder with maca (found at Whole Foods)
  • 1 Tablespoon hemp seed
  • 1 Tablespoon of raw, unrefined coconut oil

Notes:

  • If not using protein powder, add a scoop of almond butter for your protein fix
  • If you want a sweeter smoothie, add honey or vanilla to taste (but it’s naturally sweet already!)
  • Add ice cubes if you want the smoothie very cold

Put all ingredients in a blender and enjoy with someone you love!
