  • Our bodies run best on three different fuels: Proteins, Fats, Carbohydrates (P, F, C’s)
  • It takes a combination of P, F, C’s for our body to perform at its best

This lesson teaches students about the different categories of foods that make up Proteins, Fats and Carbohydrates

  • Proteins = GROW foods.  Protein helps our tissues grow and strengthen our immune systems
  • Carbohydrates = GO foods.  These give quick and lasting energy
  • Fats = Brain foods.  Beneficial fats are necessary for brain, nerve and joint function as well as fight off hunger
