Attending the Leadership Institute by Vermonica Orosco

Max Watson and I recently attended the 2025 SGSO Leadership Institute at UC Santa Cruz, a dynamic gathering of school garden leaders from across the country. Hosted by Life Lab, the week-long event offered hands-on workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and inspiring discussions on garden-based education. We left with new tools, connections, and ideas to strengthen our programs. Our experience will help further GrowingGreat’s mission to connect children with healthy food, science, and nature.
