  • The Teaching Garden
    • On March 22, 2010 we collaborated with  Environmental Activist Kelly Meyer to help launch the sustainable Teaching Garden at Kelso Elementary School in Inglewood, CA.  With the help of celebrities, Derek Fisher, Gaby Reese, Laird Hamilton and Tobey Maguire, the Teaching Garden inspires students to plant a garden, get active and eat healthy. GrowingGreat will train teachers at Teaching Garden schools to implement their standard-based garden and nutrition curriculum to K-5 students.   In alliance with GrowingGreat, Meyer’s goal is to roll the Teaching Garden out to 1,000 schools across America in the next year.   Will Rogers Elementary School, Santa Monica and Nevin Elementary, Los Angeles have since launched Teaching Garden programs.
